وَأَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ، ثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ، ثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ، ثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، ثَنَا سَعْدُ بْنُ طَرِيفٍ عَنِ الْأَصْبَغِ بْنِ نُبَاتَةَ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ؓ:
أَنَّهُ مَرَّ عَلَى قَوْمٍ يَلْعَبُونَ الشَّطْرَنْجَ فَقَالَ: مَا هَذِهِ التَّمَاثِيلُ الَّتِي أَنْتُمْ لَهَا عَاكِفُونَ لَأَنْ يَمَسَّ جَمْرًا حَتَّى يُطْفَأَ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَمَسَّهَا
