وَأَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، وَأَبُو صَادِقٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْعَطَّارُ قَالَا: ثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ، ثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي السَّفَرِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الشَّعْبِيَّ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ زِيَادَ بْنَ حُدَيْرٍ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ يَقُولُ:

حَسَبُ الْمَرْءِ دِينُهُ، وَمُرُوءَتُهُ خُلُقُهُ، وَأَصْلُهُ عَقْلُهُ
