أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الْحَسَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَا: ثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، أَخْبَرَنِي غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ مِمَّنْ لَقِيَ الْوَفْدَ، وَذَكَرَ أَبَا نَضْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ فَذَكَرَ قِصَّةَ وَفْدِ عَبْدِ الْقَيْسِ قَالَ:
وَأُتِيَ نَبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ بِأَشَجِّ عَبْدِ الْقَيْسِ فَقَالَ: إِنَّ فِيكَ خَصْلَتَيْنِ يُحِبُّهُمَا اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ الْحِلْمُ وَالْأَنَاةُ
