( أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا صَالِحٍ خَلَفَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ الْبُخَارِيَّ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَمْرٍو أَحْمَدَ بْنَ نَصْرٍ رَئِيسَ نَيْسَابُورَ بِبُخَارَى، يَقُولُ: ثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ
وَعُرِضَ عَلَيْهِ قَضَاءُ نَيْسَابُورَ، فَاخْتَفَى ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ، وَدَعَا اللهَ فَمَاتَ فِي الْيَوْمِ الثَّالِثِ
