وَقِيلَ عَنْهُ: عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَلَا تُوَلِّينِي ؟ فَذَكَرَهُ. ( أَخْبَرَنَاهُ ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ قَانِعٍ الْقَاضِي بِبَغْدَادَ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ السُّلَمِيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ، ثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، فَذَكَرَهُ مَوْصُولًا، وَالْأَوَّلُ أَصَحُّ. تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ هَذَا السُّلَمِيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ
