The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us to do seven things and forbade us from seven. He commanded us to visit the sick, to follow the funeral procession, to say "May Allah have mercy on you" to one who sneezes, to spread the greeting of peace, to help the oppressed, to fulfill the oath of one who swears, and to answer the one who invites. And he forbade us from gold rings, from drinking from silver vessels, from silk, from dībāj (brocade), from istabraq (heavy silk), from the mayāthir (silk saddle cushions), and from the qassī (garments of silk-mixed fabric).
