( أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الْمِهْرَجَانِيُّ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْمُزَكِّي، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْبُوشَنْجِيُّ، ثَنَا ابْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، قَالَ:
سُئِلَ مَالِكٌ، مَا تَفْسِيرُ ذَلِكَ ؟ فَقَالَ: أَمَّا الْجَلَبُ فَأَنْ يَتَخَلَّفَ الْفَرَسُ فِي السِّبَاقِ، فَيُحَرَّكَ وَرَاءَهُ الشَّيْءُ، يُسْتَحَثُّ بِهِ فَيَسْبِقُ، فَهَذَا الْجَلَبُ، وَأَمَّا الْجَنَبُ فَإِنَّهُ يُجْنَبُ مَعَ الْفَرَسِ الَّذِي يُسَابَقُ بِهِ فَرَسٌ آخَرُ، حَتَّى إِذَا دَنَا، تَحَوَّلَ رَاكِبُهُ عَلَى الْفَرَسِ الْمَجْنُوبِ، فَأَخَذَ السَّبَقَ
