( أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ الْعَدْلُ بِبَغْدَادَ، أَنْبَأَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَّارُ، ثَنَا أَبُو يَحْيَى زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَسَدٍ، ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، سَمِعَ جَابِرًا ؓ يَقُولُ:
وُلِدَ لِرَجُلٍ مِنَّا غُلَامٌ فَسَمَّاهُ الْقَاسِمَ، فَقُلْنَا: لَا نَكْنِيكَ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ وَلَا نُنْعِمُ عَيْنًا. فَأَتَيْنَا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَذُكِرَ ذَلِكَ لَهُ، فَقَالَ: سَمِّ ابْنَكَ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ
