✧ Slaughtering with iron and with what is gentler on the slaughtered animal, and what is recommended of sharpening blades and concealing it from the animal

( أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، أَنْبَأَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ. ( ح ) وَأَخْبَرَنَا الْأُسْتَاذُ أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْإِسْفَرَائِينِيُّ، أَنْبَأَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ رَزْمَوَيْهِ، ثَنَا أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ غَالِبٍ النَّسَوِيُّ، قَالَا: ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَنْبَأَ هُشَيْمٌ عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَشْعَثِ الصَّنْعَانِيِّ، عَنْ شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ ؓ قَالَ:

حَفِظْتُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ خَصْلَتَيْنِ، قَالَ: إِنَّ اللهَ تَبَارَكَ كَتَبَ الْإِحْسَانَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ، فَإِذَا قَتَلْتُمْ فَأَحْسِنُوا الْقِتْلَةَ، وَإِذَا ذَبَحْتُمْ فَأَحْسِنُوا الذِّبْحَةَ، وَلْيُحِدَّ أَحَدُكُمْ شَفْرَتَهُ وَلْيُرِحْ ذَبِيحَتَهُ
