( أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا زَكَرِيَّا يَحْيَى بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ الْعَنْبَرِيَّ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ أَحْمَدَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ - يَعْنِي النَّيْسَابُورِيَّ - يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ عَلِيَّ بْنَ الْحُسَيْنِ الرَّازِيَّ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الْعَزِيزِ بْنَ يَحْيَى الْمَدَنِيَّ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ مَالِكَ بْنَ أَنَسٍ يَقُولُ:
جَزِيرَةُ الْعَرَبِ: الْمَدِينَةُ، وَمَكَّةُ، وَالْيَمَنُ، فَأَمَّا مِصْرُ فَمِنْ بِلَادِ الْمَغْرِبِ، وَالشَّامُ مِنْ بِلَادِ الرُّومِ، وَالْعِرَاقُ مِنْ بِلَادِ فَارِسَ
