أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَمْرٍو الْبِسْطَامِيُّ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْإِسْمَاعِيلِيُّ، أَنْبَأَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، ثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، ثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ؓ:
أَنَّهُ كَانَ عَلَى فَرَسٍ لَهُ يَوْمَ لَقِيَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ طَيِّئًا وَأَسَدًا، وَأَمِيرُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ خَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ بَعَثَهُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ؓ فَاقْتَحَمَ الْفَرَسُ بِعَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ جُرُفًا، فَصَرَعَهُ وَسَقَطَ عَبْدُ اللهِ، فَعَارَ الْفَرَسُ فَأَخَذَهُ الْعَدُوُّ، فَلَمَّا هَزَمَ اللهُ الْعَدُوَّ رَدَّ خَالِدٌ عَلَى عَبْدِ اللهِ فَرَسَهُ
