أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو نَصْرِ بْنُ قَتَادَةَ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو الْفَضْلِ بْنُ خَمِيرَوَيْهِ، أَنْبَأَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ نَجْدَةَ، ثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ، ثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ شَرِيكٍ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ الْعَبْدِيِّ، عَنْ كُلْثُومِ بْنِ الْأَقْمَرِ، قَالَ:

أَوَّلُ مَنْ عَرَّبَ الْعِرَابَ رَجُلٌ مِنَّا يُقَالُ لَهُ: مُنْذِرٌ الْوَادِعِيُّ، كَانَ عَامِلًا لِعُمَرَ ؓ عَلَى بَعْضِ الشَّامِ، فَطَلَبَ الْعَدُوَّ فَلَحِقَتِ الْخَيْلُ وَتَقَطَّعَتِ الْبَرَاذِينُ، فَأَسْهَمَ لِلْخَيْلِ وَتَرَكَ الْبَرَاذِينَ وَكَتَبَ إِلَى عُمَرَ ؓ فَكَتَبَ عُمَرُ ؓ نِعِمَّا رَأَيْتَ " فَصَارَتْ سُنَّةً
