The Prophet ﷺ sent him and Muʿādh to Yemen, and he said to them: "Give glad tidings and make things easy, teach and do not drive people away." And I think he said: "And obey one another." He said: When he turned to leave, Abū Mūsā returned and said: O Messenger of Allah, they have a drink made from honey that is cooked, and al-mizr, which is made from barley. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Everything that intoxicates and keeps one from prayer is forbidden."

machine translationThere is disagreement about Ibn ʿUyaynah. It was narrated from Muḥammad b. ʿAbbād al-Makkī, from him (Ibn ʿUyaynah), from ʿAmr b. Dīnār, from Saʿīd b. Abī Burdah, from his father, from Abū Mūsā. Sahl b. Ṣuqayr contradicted him and narrated it from Ibn ʿUyaynah, from Misʿar and others, from Saʿīd b. Abī Burdah. Neither of the two is preserved (maḥfūẓ).
