أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، ثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، أَنْبَأَ الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، أَنْبَأَ الشَّافِعِيُّ، أَنْبَأَ مَالِكٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ:

أَنَّ صَفْوَانَ بْنَ أُمَيَّةَ قِيلَ لَهُ: مَنْ لَمْ يُهَاجِرْ هَلَكَ. فَقَدِمَ صَفْوَانُ الْمَدِينَةَ، فَنَامَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ مُتَوَسِّدًا رِدَاءَهُ، فَجَاءَ سَارِقٌ فَأَخَذَ رِدَاءَهُ مِنْ تَحْتِ رَأْسِهِ، فَأَخَذَ صَفْوَانُ السَّارِقَ فَجَاءَ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَأَمَرَ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ تُقْطَعُ يَدُهُ. فَقَالَ صَفْوَانُ: إِنِّي لَمْ أُرِدْ هَذَا هُوَ عَلَيْهِ صَدَقَةٌ. فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: فَهَلَّا قَبْلَ أَنْ تَأْتِيَنِي بِهِ ؟
