machine translationHe was asked about the hadith of Masrūq from ʿAbdullāh from the Prophet ﷺ: "The blood of a Muslim person is not lawful except for one of three: the married adulterer, a life for a life, and the one who abandons his religion." He said: Al-Aʿmash narrates it from ʿAbdullāh b. Murrah from Masrūq from ʿAbdullāh, raised to the Prophet (marfūʿ). Abū Muʿāwiyah, al-Thawrī, ʿAbdullāh b. Dāwūd, Abū Ḥamzah al-Sukkarī, Abū Shihāb, Ibn Numayr, Abū al-Aḥwaṣ, Yaḥyā al-Umawī, Jarīr, Ibn ʿUyaynah and Yaʿlā narrated it from him. It was said from Wakīʿ from al-Aʿmash from ʿAmr b. Murrah, but ʿAmr is not sound (lā yaṣiḥḥ). Al-Thawrī narrated it from al-Aʿmash from ʿAbdullāh b. Murrah from Masrūq from ʿAbdullāh, and from Ibrāhīm from al-Aswad from ʿĀʾishah. Manṣūr b. al-Muʿtamir narrated it and differed from al-Aʿmash: he narrated it from Ibrāhīm from Abū Maʿmar from Masrūq from ʿĀʾishah, as a statement stopping at her (mawqūf). Ibrāhīm b. Ṭahmān also made it mawqūf from Manṣūr. The hadith of Manṣūr from Ibrāhīm from Abū Maʿmar from Masrūq from ʿĀʾishah was mentioned to ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Mahdī, and he said: He gave both of these hadiths a connected chain (asnada).
