وَأَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْحِيرِيُّ، ثَنَا مُسَدَّدُ بْنُ قَطَنٍ، ثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ. فَذَكَرَهُ بِإِسْنَادِهِ وَمَعْنَاهُ. قَالَ فِيهِ:
" وَمَنْ بَايَعَ إِمَامًا فَأَعْطَاهُ صَفْقَةَ يَدِهِ، وَثَمَرَةَ قَلْبِهِ، فَلْيُطِعْهُ مَا اسْتَطَاعَ، فَإِنْ جَاءَ أَحَدٌ يُنَازِعُهُ فَاضْرِبُوا عُنُقَ الْآخَرِ ". قَالَ: فَدَنَوْتُ مِنْهُ فَقُلْتُ: أَنْشُدُكَ بِاللهِ، أَنْتَ سَمِعْتَ هَذَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ ؟ فَأَوْمَأَ إِلَى أُذُنَيْهِ وَقَلْبِهِ بِيَدَيْهِ فَقَالَ: سَمِعَتْهُ أُذُنَايَ، وَوَعَاهُ قَلْبِي
