أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو، قَالَا: ثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ: مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، أَنْبَأَ الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ: قَالَ الشَّافِعِيُّ - رَحِمَهُ اللهُ تَعَالَى -:
رُؤْيَا الْأَنْبِيَاءِ وَحْيٌ، وَقَوْلُهُ: " وَفِي نَزْعِهِ ضَعْفٌ ". قِصَرُ مُدَّتِهِ، وَعَجَلَةُ مَوْتِهِ، وَشُغْلُهُ بِالْحَرْبِ لِأَهْلِ الرِّدَّةِ عَنِ الِافْتِتَاحِ وَالتَّزَيُّدِ الَّذِي بَلَغَهُ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ فِي طُولِ مُدَّتِهِ
