أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو طَاهِرٍ الْفَقِيهُ، وَأَبُو مُحَمَّدِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، قَالَا: ثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْقَطَّانُ، أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ، ثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ، حَدَّثَنِي ثَابِتٌ الْبُنَانِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ:

حِينَ تَخَلَّفَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَنْ أَصْحَابِهِ فِي مَسِيرِهِ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: " مَا تَرَوْنَ النَّاسَ صَنَعُوا ؟ ". ثُمَّ قَالَ: أَصْبَحَ النَّاسُ فَقَدُوا نَبِيَّهُمْ. فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ: رَسُولُ اللهِ بَعْدَكُمْ، لَمْ يَكُنْ لِيُخَلِّفَكُمْ، وَقَالَ النَّاسُ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ بَيْنَ أَيْدِيكُمْ، وَإِنْ تُطِيعُوا أَبَا بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ تَرْشُدُوا
