( وَقَدْ أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، أَنْبَأَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْحَافِظُ، ثَنَا الْقَاضِي الْمَحَامِلِيُّ، ثَنَا زِيَادُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، ثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، أَنْبَأَ خَالِدٌ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ، عَنْ جُنْدُبٍ الْبَجَلِيِّ:
أَنَّهُ قَتَلَ سَاحِرًا كَانَ عِنْدَ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: أَفَتَأْتُونَ السِّحْرَ وَأَنْتُمْ تُبْصِرُونَ
