( وَأَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ السُّوسِيُّ وَأَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيُّ قَالُوا: ثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، أَنْبَأَ الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ مَزْيَدٍ، أَنْبَأَ أَبِي، ثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ:

لَمَّا فُتِحَتْ مَكَّةُ قَتَلَتْ هُذَيْلٌ رَجُلًا مِنْ بَنِي لَيْثٍ بِقَتِيلٍ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ، فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ بِنَحْوِهِ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ: وَمَنْ قُتِلَ لَهُ قَتِيلٌ فَهُوَ بِخَيْرِ النَّظَرَيْنِ: إِمَّا أَنْ يُقَادَ وَإِمَّا أَنْ يُفَادَى
