(Ḥammād b. Zayd also narrated it) from Khālid al-Ḥadhdhāʾ, and he established its chain. 16099 - (Abū ʿAlī al-Rūdhbārī informed us), Abū Bakr b. Dāsah reported to us, Abū Dāwūd narrated to us, Sulaymān b. Ḥarb and Musaddad narrated to us, they said: Ḥammād narrated to us, from Khālid, from al-Qāsim b. Rabīʿah, from ʿUqbah b. Aws, from ʿAbdullāh b. ʿAmr: that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave a sermon on the day of the conquest in Mecca, and he mentioned the hadith, then said: "Indeed, the blood money for the one killed by mistake, resembling intentional killing, that is, by the whip and the staff, is one hundred camels, of which forty have their young in their bellies." Wuhayb also narrated it thus from Khālid al-Ḥadhdhāʾ. (And we have narrated) from ʿAmr b. Shuʿayb, from his father, from his grandfather, from the Prophet ﷺ concerning intentional killing, quasi-intentional killing and killing by mistake, and that will be mentioned, God willing, in the Book of Blood Money (Diyāt).

طريقة عبد الله بن عمرو هي الصحيحة أي وطريقة ابن عمر ضعيفة
machine translationThe route of ʿAbdullāh b. ʿAmr is the sound (ṣaḥīḥ) one, that is, the route of Ibn ʿUmar is weak (ḍaʿīf).

machine translationʿUqbah b. Aws was declared trustworthy (thiqah) by Ibn Saʿd, al-ʿIjlī and Ibn Ḥibbān, and Muḥammad b. Sīrīn, despite his eminence, narrated from him. Al-Qāsim was declared trustworthy by Abū Dāwūd, Ibn al-Madīnī and Ibn Ḥibbān.

machine translationIts chain is confused (muḍṭarib). It is narrated by al-Qāsim b. Rabīʿah, who at one time says: from Yaʿqūb b. Aws; at another: from ʿUqbah b. Aws, from a man among the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ; at another: from Ibn ʿUmar, from the Prophet ﷺ; and at another: from Ibn ʿAmr.

صحيح ولا يضره الاختلاف وأما رواية ابن عمر فلا لضعف ابن جدعان
machine translationSound (ṣaḥīḥ), and the disagreement does not harm it. As for the narration of Ibn ʿUmar, it is not [sound], because of the weakness of Ibn Judʿān.

machine translationThis is a hadith about which there is disagreement on the authority of al-Qāsim b. Rabīʿah. It is narrated from him from Ibn ʿUmar, and from him from Ibn ʿAmr. Ḥumayd al-Ṭawīl narrated it as a mursal report from al-Qāsim b. Rabīʿah, and Khālid al-Ḥadhdhāʾ said: from al-Qāsim, from ʿUqbah b. Aws, from Ibn ʿUmar. And this is more likely.
