✧ The Man Who Cannot Find Maintenance for His Wife

( أَخْبَرَنَاهُ ) أَبُو عَمْرٍو: مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَدِيبُ، أَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْإِسْمَاعِيلِيُّ أَخْبَرَنِي الْحَسَنُ هُوَ ابْنُ سُفْيَانَ، نَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، نَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ( ح ) قَالَ وَأَخْبَرَنِي الْحَسَنُ، نَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، نَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ قَالَا: نَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

" إِنَّ أَفْضَلَ الصَّدَقَةِ مَا تَرَكَ غِنًى، وَالْيَدُ الْعُلْيَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْيَدِ السُّفْلَى وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ "، قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ: تَقُولُ امْرَأَتُكَ أَطْعِمْنِي وَإِلَّا فَطَلِّقْنِي، وَيَقُولُ خَادِمُكَ أَطْعِمْنِي وَإِلَّا فَبِعْنِي، وَيَقُولُ وَلَدُكَ إِلَى مَنْ تَكِلُنِي. قَالُوا: يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ هَذَا شَيْءٌ تَقُولُهُ مِنْ رَائِكَ، أَوْ مِنْ قَوْلِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ ؟ قَالَ: لَا، بَلْ هَذَا مِنْ كِيسِي
