أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو نَصْرِ بْنُ قَتَادَةَ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو الْفَضْلِ: مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ خَمِيرَوَيْهِ، أَنْبَأَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ نَجْدَةَ، ثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَوْسٍ أَنَّ عُمَرَ ؓ قَالَ:

لَوِ اسْتَطَعْتُ أَنْ أَجْعَلَ عِدَّةَ الْأَمَةِ حَيْضَةً وَنِصْفًا لَفَعَلْتُ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فَاجْعَلْهَا شَهْرًا وَنِصْفًا، قَالَ: فَسَكَتَ
