( حَدَّثَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيُّ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْخَلِيلِ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ، نَا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ إِيَاسِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ حَدَّثَهُ ( ح ) وَأَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ، أَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الصَّفَّارُ، أَنَا عَبَّاسٌ الْأَسْفَاطِيُّ هُوَ ابْنُ الْفَضْلِ، نَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ، نَا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، نَا إِيَاسُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ ؓ قَالَ:
أَبْصَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِشْرَ ابْنَ رَاعِي الْعِيرِ يَأْكُلُ بِشِمَالِهِ قَالَ: كُلْ بِيَمِينِكَ، قَالَ: لَا أَسْتَطِيعُ، قَالَ: " لَا اسْتَطَعْتَ "، قَالَ: فَمَا وَصَلَتْ يَدُهُ إِلَى فِيهِ بَعْدُ. وَفِي رِوَايَةِ السُّلَمِيِّ: فَمَا وَصَلَتْ يَمِينُهُ

وقال بسر بضم الباء وبالسين غير معجمة والصحيح بشر بخفض الباء وبالشين المعجمة هكذا ذكره ابن منده وغيره من الحفاظ والله أعلم أخرجه مسلم في الصحيح من وجه آخر عن عكرمة زاد وما منعه إلا الكبر قال فما رفعها إلى فيه
machine translationHe said: Busr, with a ḍammah on the bāʾ and an unpointed sīn, but the correct form is Bishr, with a kasrah on the bāʾ and a pointed shīn (shīn muʿjamah). Thus it was mentioned by Ibn Mandah and other memorizers (ḥuffāẓ), and Allah knows best. Muslim recorded it in the Ṣaḥīḥ by another route from ʿIkrimah, adding: "Nothing prevented him except pride."
