أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو قَالَا: ثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ: مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الصَّغَانِيُّ، ثَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ، ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، وَحَبِيبٍ، وَهِشَامٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَجْفَاءِ السُّلَمِيِّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ يَقُولُ:
إِيَّاكُمْ وَالْمُغَالَاةَ فِي مُهُورِ النِّسَاءِ فَإِنَّهَا لَوْ كَانَتْ تَقْوَى عِنْدَ اللهِ أَوْ مَكْرُمَةً عِنْدَ النَّاسِ لَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَوْلَاكُمْ بِهَا مَا نَكَحَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ شَيْئًا مِنْ نِسَائِهِ، وَلَا أَنْكَحَ وَاحِدَةً مِنْ بَنَاتِهِ بِأَكْثَرَ مِنِ اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ أُوقِيَّةً وَهِيَ أَرْبَعُمِائَةِ دِرْهَمٍ وَثَمَانُونَ دِرْهَمًا وَإِنَّ أَحَدَهُمْ لَيُغَالَى بِمَهْرِ امْرَأَتِهِ حَتَّى يَبْقَى عَدَاوَةً فِي نَفْسِهِ فَيَقُولُ: لَقَدْ كَلِفْتُ لَكِ عَلَقَ الْقِرْبَةِ
