( أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو الْحَسَنِ: عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُقْرِي، أَنْبَأَ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، ثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْهَرَوِيُّ، أَنْبَأَ هُشَيْمٌ، أَنْبَأَ أَشْعَثُ بْنُ سَوَّارٍ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، قَالَ:

لَمَّا مَاتَ أَبُو قَيْسِ بْنُ الْأَسْلَتِ خَطَبَ ابْنُهُ قَيْسٌ امْرَأَةَ أَبِيهِ، فَانْطَلَقَتْ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّ أَبَا قَيْسٍ قَدْ هَلَكَ، وَإِنَّ ابْنَهُ قَيْسًا مِنْ خِيَارِ الْحَيِّ قَدْ خَطَبَنِي إِلَى نَفْسِي، فَقُلْتُ لَهُ مَا كُنْتُ أَعُدُّكَ إِلَّا وَلَدًا، وَمَا أَنَا بِالَّتِي أَسْبِقُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ بِشَيْءٍ، قَالَ: فَسَكَتَ عَنْهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَنَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ: وَلا تَنْكِحُوا مَا نَكَحَ آبَاؤُكُمْ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ
