machine translationAl-Zuhrī narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. ʿUqayl b. Khālid, Ibn Abī Dhiʾb, Yūnus b. Yazīd and ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. ʿAmr al-Awzāʿī narrated it, and there is disagreement about al-Awzāʿī, from al-Zuhrī, from Abū Salamah, from Abū Hurayrah. Al-Walīd b. Muslim narrated it from al-Awzāʿī, who heard it from al-Zuhrī, from Abū Salamah, from Abū Hurayrah. ʿUmar b. ʿAbd al-Wāḥid differed from him and narrated it from al-Awzāʿī, from Yūnus al-Aylī, from al-Zuhrī, as a mursal report from the Prophet ﷺ. Likewise Ibn ʿUyaynah narrated it from al-Zuhrī as a mursal report. Muḥammad b. Abī Ḥafṣah narrated it from al-Zuhrī, from Saʿīd b. al-Musayyib, from Abū Hurayrah. The correct version is from Abū Salamah, from Abū Hurayrah.
