al-Sunan al-Kubra (al-Bayhaqi) 13280

✧ The poor or destitute who has earnings or a craft sufficient for him and his family is not given anything for poverty or destitution.

( وَأَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْمُقْرِي بِبَغْدَادَ، أَنْبَأَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلْمَانَ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ - هُوَ ابْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ، ثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، فَذَكَرَهُ، وَقَالَ:

وَلَا لِذِي مِرَّةٍ سَوِيٍّ
