أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو، ثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَفَّانَ، ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، ثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ
أَنَّ عُمَرَ ؓ أَعْطَى بَجِيلَةَ رُبُعَ السَّوَادِ، فَأَخَذُوهُ سِنِينَ، ثُمَّ وَفَدَ جَرِيرٌ ؓ إِلَى عُمَرَ ؓ فَقَالَ: لَوْلَا أَنِّي قَاسِمٌ مَسْئُولٌ لَكُنْتُمْ عَلَى مَا قُسِمَ لَكُمْ، فَأَرَى أَنْ تَرُدَّهُ، فَرَدَّهُ وَأَجَازَهُ بِثَمَانِينَ دِينَارًا
