( وَأَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُقْرِي، أَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، ثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ
أَنَّ الْبَرَاءَ - يَعْنِي ابْنَ مَالِكٍ - بَارَزَ مَرْزُبَانَ الزَّارَةِ، فَحَمَلَ عَلَيْهِ بِالرُّمْحِ، فَدَقَّ صُلْبَهُ، وَأَخَذَ سِوَارَيْهِ، وَأَخَذَ مِنْطَقَتَهُ، فَصَلَّى عُمَرُ ؓ يَوْمًا صَلَاةً ثُمَّ قَالَ: أَثَمَّ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ ؟ إِنَّا كُنَّا نُنَفِّلُ الرَّجُلَ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ سَلَبَ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْكُفَّارِ إِذَا قَتَلَهُ، وَإِنَّ سَلَبَ الْبَرَاءِ قَدْ بَلَغَ مَالًا، وَلَا أُرَانِي إِلَّا خَامِسَهُ، فَقِيلَ لِمُحَمَّدٍ: فَخَمَّسَهُ ؟ فَقَالَ: لَا أَدْرِي
