وَأَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ، ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، أَنَا يَزِيدُ، أَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْجَلِيلِ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ قَالَ:
شَهِدْتُ عَلِيًّا ؓ سُئِلَ عَنِ الْخُنْثَى، فَسَأَلَ الْقَوْمَ، فَلَمْ يَدْرُوا، فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ ؓ: إِنْ بَالَ مِنْ مَجْرَى الذَّكَرِ فَهُوَ غُلَامٌ، وَإِنْ بَالَ مِنْ مَجْرَى الْفَرْجِ فَهُوَ جَارِيَةٌ
