If the deceased leaves a son, the estate is his. If he leaves two sons, the estate is between them. If he leaves three sons, the estate is divided equally among them. If he leaves sons and daughters, the estate is among them, the male receiving the share of two females. If he leaves no child of his own loins, but leaves sons of a son and daughters of a son, whose lineage to the deceased is one, the estate is among them, the male receiving the share of two females, and they are in the position of the child when there is no child. If he leaves a son and a son's son, the son's son receives nothing. Likewise, if he leaves a son's son, and below him a son's son, and daughters of a son still lower, then the one lower than the son's son receives nothing along with the higher one, just as the son's son receives nothing along with the son. He said: If he leaves his father and leaves no one else, the estate is his. If he leaves his father and leaves a son, the father gets one-sixth and what remains goes to the son. If he leaves a son's son and leaves no son, the son's son is in the position of the son.
