( وَأَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ شَيْبَانَ، ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ، وَحُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ؛ أَنَّهُمَا سَمِعَا النُّعْمَانَ، يَقُولُ:
نَحَلَنِي أَبِي غُلَامًا، فَأَمَرَتْنِي أُمِّي أَنْ أَذْهَبَ بِهِ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، فَأُشْهِدَهُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ، فَقَالَ: أَكُلَّ وَلَدِكَ أَعْطَيْتَهُ، قَالَ: لَا، قَالَ: " فَارْدُدْهُ
