The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade meeting the caravans (to trade before they reach the market), and that a city-dweller sell for a desert-dweller. He said: I said to Ibn ʿAbbās: What is the meaning of his saying "a city-dweller must not sell"? He said: He must not be a broker for him.
