Musnad Ahmad 9989

Translation

✧ Adam met Musa. He said: 'Are you Adam whom Allah created with His own hand, before whom He made His angels prostrate, and whom He caused to dwell in Paradise, and then you did [what you did]?' He said: 'Are you Musa whom Allah spoke to directly, chose for His message, and sent down the Torah to? Am I older or is the Remembrance?' He said: 'No, rather the Remembrance.' So Adam confuted Musa; so Adam confuted Musa.
