حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

أَنَا أَوْلَى بِكُلِّ مُؤْمِنٍ مِنْ نَفْسِهِ، فَمَنْ تَرَكَ دَيْنًا أَوْ ضَيَاعًا فَإِلَيَّ، وَمَنْ تَرَكَ مَالًا فَلِلْوَارِثِ.

Translation

✧ I am closer to every believer than his own self. Whoever leaves behind a debt or dependents, they are my responsibility, and whoever leaves behind wealth, it belongs to the heirs.
