حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي ٍ صَالِحٍعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ

إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ صَوْمِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلَا يَرْفُثْ وَلَا يَجْهَلْ، فَإِنْ جُهِلَ عَلَيْهِ فَلْيَقُلْ: إِنِّي امْرُؤٌ صَائِمٌ.

Translation

✧ When one of you is fasting on a day, he should not engage in obscene speech or act ignorantly. If someone behaves ignorantly toward him, let him say: “I am a man who is fasting.”
