✧ A man from the Muslims came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was in the mosque and called out to him, saying: "O Messenger of Allah, I have committed adultery." He turned away from him. He moved to face him and said: "O Messenger of Allah, I have committed adultery." He turned away from him until he repeated that four times. When he had testified against himself four times, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ called him and said: "Do you have insanity?" He said: "No." He said: "Have you been married?" He said: "Yes." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Take him and stone him." Ibn Shihab said: Someone who heard Jabir b. Abd Allah told me that he said: "I was among those who stoned him, and we stoned him at the prayer place. When the stones pained him, he fled, and we caught up with him at the Harrah and stoned him."
