حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أخبرنا مُحَمَّدٌ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ اللهُ ﷻ
إِذَا أَحَبَّ الْعَبْدُ لِقَائِي أَحْبَبْتُ لِقَاءَهُ، وَإِذَا كَرِهَ الْعَبْدُ لِقَائِي كَرِهْتُ لِقَاءَهُ، قَالَ: فَقِيلَ لِأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ: مَا مِنَّا مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا وَهُوَ يَكْرَهُ الْمَوْتَ وَيَفْظَعُ بِهِ، قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ: إِنَّهُ إِذَا كَانَ ذَلِكَ كُشِفَ لَهُ
Translation

✧ When the servant loves to meet Me, I love to meet him; and when the servant hates to meet Me, I hate to meet him. He said: It was said to Abu Hurayrah: There is none of us except that he hates death and is terrified by it. Abu Hurayrah said: When that happens, it will be unveiled to him.
