حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعْدَانُ الْجُهَنِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي مُجَاهِدٍ الطَّائِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي مُدِلَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ
قُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَخْبِرْنَا عَنِ الْجَنَّةِ مَا بِنَاؤُهَا ؟ قَالَ: لَبِنَةٌ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَلَبِنَةٌ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ، مِلَاطُهَا الْمِسْكُ الْأَذْفَرُ، حَصْبَاؤُهَا الْيَاقُوتُ وَاللُّؤْلُؤُ، وَتُرْبَتُهَا الْوَرْسُ وَالزَّعْفَرَانُ، مَنْ يَدْخُلُهَا يَخْلُدُ لَا يَمُوتُ، وَيَنْعَمُ لَا يَبْؤُسُ، لَا يَبْلَى شَبَابُهُمْ، وَلَا تُخَرَّقُ ثِيَابُهُمْ.

✧ We said: O Messenger of Allah, tell us about Paradise—what is its construction? He said: 'A brick of gold and a brick of silver; its mortar is strong-scented musk; its pebbles are rubies and pearls; its soil is wars and saffron. Whoever enters it will live forever and never die, will enjoy bliss and never suffer, their youth will never fade, and their clothes will never wear out.'
