حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبَّادِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ
جَاءَ مُشْرِكُو قُرَيْشٍ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ يُخَاصِمُونَهُ فِي الْقَدَرِ، فَنَزَلَتْ يَوْمَ يُسْحَبُونَ فِي النَّارِ عَلَى وُجُوهِهِمْ ذُوقُوا مَسَّ سَقَرَ إِنَّا كُلَّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقْنَاهُ بِقَدَرٍ.

✧ The polytheists of Quraysh came to the Prophet ﷺ arguing with him about the divine decree, so the verse was revealed: "The day they are dragged into the Fire on their faces: 'Taste the touch of Saqar! Indeed, We have created everything by a measure'" [al-Qamar 54:48-49].
