Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked: 'Who is the noblest of people?' He said: 'The most pious of them.' They said: 'We are not asking you about this.' He said: 'Then Yusuf, the Prophet of Allah, son of the Prophet of Allah, son of the Prophet of Allah, son of the Friend of Allah.' They said: 'We are not asking you about this.' He said: 'Then are you asking me about the origins of the Arabs? The best of them in the pre-Islamic era are the best of them in Islam, if they gain understanding.'
