✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ delayed the later Isha one night until nearly a third of the night or close to it had passed. He said: Then he came while the people were in a state of laxity and were sitting in separate groups, and he became very angry. Then he said: If a man were to invite the people to a bone with meat on it or two sheep's trotters, they would respond to him, yet they stay behind from this prayer. I was determined to order a man to stay behind at the dwellings of those who stay behind from this prayer and burn them down with fire.
