حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ الْمُزَنِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا شَيْخٌ مِنْ بَنِي تَمِيمٍ قَالَ خَطَبَنَا عَلِيٌّ أَوْ قَالَ قَالَ
خَطَبَنَا عَلِيٌّ، أَوْ قَالَ: قَالَ عَلِيٌّ: يَأْتِي عَلَى النَّاسِ زَمَانٌ عَضُوضٌ، يَعَضُّ الْمُوسِرُ عَلَى مَا فِي يَدَيْهِ، قَالَ: وَلَمْ يُؤْمَرْ بِذَلِكَ، قَالَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: وَلا تَنْسَوُا الْفَضْلَ بَيْنَكُمْ، وَيَنْهَدُ الْأَشْرَارُ، وَيُسْتَذَلُّ الْأَخْيَارُ، وَيُبَايِعُ الْمُضْطَرُّونَ، قَالَ: وَقَدْ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْمُضْطَرِّينَ، وَعَنْ بَيْعِ الْغَرَرِ، وَعَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرَةِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تُدْرِكَ
Translation

✧ ʿAlī addressed us, or said: ʿAlī said, “A biting time will come upon people when the wealthy man will cling to what he has, and he was not commanded to do that. God, mighty and majestic, says: ‘And do not forget graciousness among you’ (Q 2:237). The wicked will rise and the virtuous will be humbled, and the desperate will be sold to. The Messenger of God ﷺ forbade selling to the desperate, selling what is uncertain, and selling fruit before it ripens.”
