machine translationDhawwād narrates it in this way from Ibn Jurayj, from Ibn Abī Dhiʾb, from Abū Hurayrah. But ʿAbd al-Razzāq, Ḥajjāj b. Muḥammad and others narrated it from Ibn Jurayj, from Ibrāhīm b. Muḥammad b. Abī ʿAṭāʾ, who is Ibrāhīm b. Abī Yaḥyā, from Mūsā b. Wardān, from Abū Hurayrah. Dhawwād b. ʿUlbah has other hadiths besides what I mentioned, though not many, and the hadiths that were objected to in him are among those I mentioned. It is as though his hadiths are strange (gharāʾib) from everyone he narrates from. He is among the weak narrators (ḍuʿafāʾ) in my view, and he is one whose hadith is written down.
