حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ
مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ أُحُدًا ذَاكُمْ يُحَوَّلُ ذَهَبًا يَكُونُ عِنْدِي بَعْدَ ثَلَاثٍ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ إِلَّا شَيْئًا أَرْصُدُهُ لِدَيْنٍ إِنَّ الْأَكْثَرِينَ هُمُ الْأَقَلُّونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِلَّا مَنْ قَالَ: هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا، وَقَلِيلٌ مَا هُمْ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ، وَبَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَوَرَاءَهُ.

✧ I would not like for anyone among you to turn this [mountain] into gold and have anything of it remain with me after three days, except something I set aside for a debt. Indeed, those with the most wealth will be those with the least on the Day of Resurrection, except for one who says, "Thus and thus and thus and thus," spending it to his right, to his left, before him, and behind him—and how few they are.
