حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزِّنَادِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ
تَوَكَّلَ اللهُ [عَزَّ وَجَلَّ] بِحِفْظِ امْرِئٍ خَرَجَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ لَا يُخْرِجُهُ إِلَّا الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ وَتَصْدِيقٌ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللهِ حَتَّى يُوجِبَ لَهُ الْجَنَّةَ أَوْ يُرْجِعَهُ إِلَى بَيْتِهِ أَوْ مِنْ حَيْثُ خَرَجَ.

✧ Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has taken it upon Himself to protect a man who goes out in the path of Allah; nothing drives him out except jihad in the path of Allah and belief in the words of Allah, until He makes Paradise obligatory for him, or returns him to his home or to where he set out from.
