✧ Verily, God, Mighty and Majestic, has angels who roam about as extra ones, seeking gatherings of remembrance. When they find a gathering in which there is remembrance, they sit with them and enfold one another with their wings until they fill what is between them and the lowest heaven. When they disperse, they ascend—or go up—to heaven. He said: God, Mighty and Majestic, asks them, though He knows best: "From where have you come?" They say: "We come from some servants of Yours on earth who glorify You, magnify You, praise You, declare Your oneness, and ask of You." He said: "And what do they ask of Me?" They say: "They ask You for Your Paradise." He said: "Have they seen My Paradise?" They say: "No, O Lord." He said: "How then if they had seen My Paradise?" They say: "And they seek Your protection." He said: "From what do they seek My protection?" They say: "From Your Fire, O Lord." He said: "Have they seen My Fire?" They say: "No." He said: "And they seek Your forgiveness." He said: Then He says: "I have forgiven them, given them what they asked for, and protected them from what they sought protection from." He said: They say: "O Lord, among them is so-and-so, a sinful servant who merely passed by and sat with them." He said: Then He says: "I have forgiven him. They are a people whose companion is not made wretched."
