✧ While a man was walking along a road, he became extremely thirsty. He found a well, went down into it, drank, and then came out. Suddenly he saw a dog panting and eating the moist earth from thirst. He said: This dog has reached the same level of thirst that I reached. So he went down into the well, filled his leather sock with water, then held it in his mouth until he climbed up, and gave the dog water. Allah appreciated that from him and forgave him. They said: O Messenger of Allah, is there a reward for us in animals? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'In every living creature with a moist liver there is a reward.'
