حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرٌو عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَدْرَكَ شَيْخًا يَمْشِي بَيْنَ ابْنَيْهِ مُتَوَكِّئًا عَلَيْهِمَا، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: " مَا شَأْنُ هَذَا الشَّيْخِ ؟ " قَالَ ابْنَاهُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، كَانَ عَلَيْهِ نَذْرٌ، فَقَالَ لَهُ: ارْكَبْ أَيُّهَا الشَّيْخُ، فَإِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ غَنِيٌّ عَنْكَ وَعَنْ نَذْرِكَ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ came upon an old man walking between his two sons, leaning on them. The Prophet ﷺ said: "What is the matter with this old man?" His sons said: O Messenger of God, he had made a vow. He said to him: "Ride, O old man, for God, Mighty and Majestic, is in no need of you or your vow."
